The peach is often depicted in Chinese paintings, sculpture, pottery, clothing and food (such as buns shaped as peaches for birthdays), as it is considered an auspicious symbol, with the peach tree symbolizing a long and healthy life.
These patches come in a pair, as a single peach and cluster of three peaches, with the leaves portrayed in the style of traditional Chinese paintings. In rosy pinks, oranges, and subdued greens, they are a mellow nod to spring.
This depiction is based on early Chinese Qing Dynasty paintings of peaches. I was drawn to the amount of attention and movement the artists gave to their leaves.
This product is a duo of peaches.
