Description
This set includes the Tiger and Tiger Cub patches, designed with the Year of the Tiger in mind, as part of our Lunar New Year Spring Collection 2022.
Tiger from our Standard collection and Tiger Cub from our Mini collection are also available separately.
Artist's note
In the East, the tiger was considered most powerful amongst land creatures. Legend has it that the chinese pictogram for "king", "王", was derived from the forehead markings of a tiger. I've tried to subtly make that legend a part of the design of Tiger.
Tiger Cub is heavily referenced from an image by one of my favourite Japanese painters, Maruyama Ōkyo. I have always been persuaded by his more naturalist drawing style and seek to capture it in my work whenever I can.
